Diet Program Regulations 2010: Fight Obesity

Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 invites everyone to go on a diet of vegetable nutrients and reproduce by reducing the accumulation of sugar and solid fats (butter and meat).

This report is based on the latest scientific evidence and prepared by a panel consisting of as many as 13 American nutrition experts and health. Regulation of the diet program in 2010 will be released later this year by the U.S. Department of Agriculture with the Department of Health and Human Services.


Ranging from two-thirds of adults and one third of children in the United States are overweight or obese. The committee highlighted four main steps: first to reduce overweight and obesity by cutting your calorie intake and increasing physical activity.

Second, multiplying eat plant foods are vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes. Increasing the consumption of seafood that is free of fat and low-fat milk, and eating poultry meat and eggs to taste. Third, significantly reducing the intake of foods containing sugars and solid fats, which contribute about 35 percent of calories. Reduce sodium intake gradually to 1500 milligrams per day.

Fourth, to comply with the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans 2008. They recommended that adults get at least 2.5 hours of medium intensity physical activity each week, such as brisk walking, or 1 hour 15 minutes more heavy activity, like jogging or swimming. Children and adolescents should do an hour or more to the strong intensity of physical activity every day.

Dietary guidelines first published in 1980 and updated every five years. These guidelines are used for nutritional and educational programs of government, and also by nutritionists and health experts to help educate people about healthy eating patterns.
