Tetra Pak Campaign to "Only For My Fresh Milk"

Tetra Pak Indonesia once again invite the Indonesian people to drink fresh milk every day and give education the importance of drinking fresh milk for the body. In this case, Tetra Pak Indonesia took several ministries.

Based on data from Tetra Pak Indonesia in 2010, milk consumption in Indonesia is still low compared to other Asian countries, which is only 11.9 liters per capita per year. For comparison, the consumption of milk in India reached 42.8 liters per capita per year, Malaysia and the Philippines reached 22.1 liters per capita per year, Thailand reach 31.7 liters per capita per year, even Vietnam was still higher than Indonesia, which 12.1 liters per capita per year. In addition, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, milk production in Indonesia is also a new can supply no more than 26.5 percent of domestic demand, the remaining 73.5 percent comes from imports. This means, Indonesian dairy farmers can only contribute 26.5 percent of national needs.

Based on the fact that, Tetra Pak Indonesia encouraged to promote the program "Just For My Fresh Milk." For the success of the program, Tetra Pak Indonesia in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Health, National dairy Council (DPN), Indonesian Healthy Bone Residents Association (Perwatusi), and the producers of fresh milk.

"Tetra Pak Indonesia will remain committed to support and promote milk drinking campaign to the people of Indonesia. For that, we invite the people of Indonesia to drink fresh milk every day. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir Zaenal Bacharuddin MSc as Director General of Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, said the proclamation of the archipelago in 2009 Dairy Day which is celebrated every June 1 each year is expected to be a big umbrella of national dairy activities.

"Hopefully in the future could stimulate a group of dairy farmers to produce better quality milk with a greater quantity, so that imports of milk can be suppressed and the dairy industry can develop better Nusantara," he added.

Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Indonesia also invites people to drink fresh milk every day to help the Indonesian dairy industry to grow to be better.

In order to campaign for the movement of fresh milk this year, Tetra Pak Indonesia together dairy producers, among others Ultrajaya Milk Industry (Milk Ultra), Indomilk (Milk Indomilk), Greenfields Indonesia (Real Good), PKIS Sekartanjung Champion Milk, and Diamond has been and will conducted a series of campaign activities to drink milk. Activities include support of Peak Milk Memorial Day 2010 Nusantara held in Lembang, Bandung, held a talk show on television and radio, media workshops, photo competitions and writing features for journalists, and seminars in cooperation with the Indonesian Doctors Association.
